According to Hollywood Reporter comedic actor Brett Gelman (30 Minutes or Less, The Other Guys), will be a new addition to the cast of the popular 1980’s sci-fi Stanger Things. Gelman will be playing a Journalist turned conspiracy theorist, Murray Bauman, who is investigating a cold case in the town of Hawkins.

Season two will be darker than the first :
Taking place a year after the events in season one, the second season of Stranger Things is set to be darker and weirder than the first. According to the show’s creators, the newest season will take inspiration from Temple of Doom.
The show is said to explore the effects of Will’s time in the Upside Down, but will have a completely self-contained plot, with new tensions that the characters will have to deal with.
Netflix announced the title of each of their nine episodes. Similarly to season one, the episodes are expected to be around 45 and 55 minutes in length.

With an upside-down cast photo, Millie Bobby Brown announced that the production of the second season of Stranger Things is now underway.
Brown also confirmed the return of her character Eleven, whose fate was left hanging in season one’s finale episode. There has been an enormous amount of speculation regarding the popular telekinetic character’s return, however, show creators the Duffer Brothers kept a long vow of silence on the matter saying, “

In addition to Brett Gelman‘s character Murray Bauman, five brand-new characters will be introduced in the show’s second season:
Sean Astin (The Goonies, Rudy) will be playing Bob Newby
Bob Newby is the manager of the Hawkins RadioShack. Newby is a kind, former high school nerd, who went to school with Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) and Sheriff Hopper (David Harbour).
Paul Reiser (Aliens, Whiplash) will play Dr. Owens
Dr. Owens works for the Department of Energy and is tasked with keeping the events of the previous year contained.
Up-and-coming Actress Linnea Berthelsen will be playing Roman
Roman is a non-Hawkins resident who is somehow connected to the events that took place at the Department of Energy lab. Roman is described as being, an emotionally damaged women who suffered an enormous loss in her childhood.
Aussie Actor Dacre Montgomery (Power Rangers, Safe Neighborhood) will play Billy
Billy is described as a charismatic character with a violent and unpredictable nature lurking beneath the surface. He is the kind of guy who is proficient at drinking games, drives
around in a black Camaro, and steals girls away from their boyfriends. Billy is a Step-Brother to Max.
Sadie Sink (Odyssey, The Bleeder) will play Max
Max is described as being a tough and confident tomboy. She is said to have a complicated history and is highly suspicious of the people around her. We speculate that Max is going to be another badass female on the show.
Barb won’t be forgotten:
There is no doubt that Barb met a cruel and untimelyend on the first season of Stranger Things, while we definitely won’t see the character’s return, the show’s creators promised that Barb will not be forgotten. Fans can expect to see some form of justice for the popular character.
Stranger Things Season 2 has yet to receive a definitive premiere date, but we can expect the show to make its return on Netflix in 2017.
