Gambitious has announced the release of Indie Developer Arachnid Games’ submarine exploration and action adventure game, Diluvion, following a successful $50,554 Kickstarter campaign backed by 1,644 eager supporters. The upcoming title lets players explore a vast undersea world on their quest for riches and survival, and is inspired by the award-winning game Dark Souls.
In a world where a destructive flood left the remainder of humanity struggling to survive under a thick impenetrable layer of ice, players must set their defence against hostile ships and terrors lurking in the deep. In this real-time 3D combat game, not only do players have to fight, they also have to manage their food and oxygen, salvage and trade loot, collect bounties and discover the dark depths of a world brimming with uncharted harbours, factions, stories and mysteries.
Nine vessels will be available for captains to command, each equipped with upgradeable weapons, and specialised crew members. Players can even build their own operation home base to shelter their fleets while growing their infamy and wealth.
Diluvion is available for Pre-Order at a 15% discount, the pre-ordered game will include a Captain’s Journal which documents the game’s Lore and a Pre-Order Exclusive ‘Deringer’ submarine to use in-game. A special Edition game will also be available at launch and will include a digital art book, an exclusive submarine called Manta, and a downloadable copy of the game’s soundtrack composed by Michael Ward.
