Razer has announced the release of an updated version of their popular mechanical gaming keyboard, which is sure to excite anyone in the market for a keyboard switch to enhance FPS and MOBA gameplay. BlackWidow V2 will have extra ergonomics, less travel distance between keys, and a silent design.
The Razer BlackWidow V2 will now come with three tactical switches. The Razer Yellow Switch, much like the Green and Orange switches that came before, has been given a lifespan rating of 80 million keystrokes. The average mechanical keyboard switch on the market can range anywhere between 30-50 million keystrokes, this means that the Blackwidow V2 has the potential to outlast the average mechanical switch by years.
The Yellow Switch has been specially designed to cater for FPS and MOBA players, boasting a linear and silent design, which reduces the travel distance between keys.
In addition to the added switch, Razer has also added the option of extra comfort. Much like the Razer Ornata, the BlackWidow V2 will sport an ergonomic wrist rest. The cushioned magnetic wrist rest can attach to the bottom of the keyboard, reducing the risk of wrist ache after an intense marathon gaming match.
The Razer BlackWidow V2 is available from Razerzone now. The device will be made available worldwide this month.
