March 7, 2017 – Amy Schumer: The Leather Special

Emmy Award-winning comedian Amy Schumer will target binge drinking, her relationship, and navigating the dark and uncertain terrain of being a newly famous woman, in this self Directed special. The Leather Special performance was originally recorded in November 2016 at the Bellco Theater in Denver. The stand-up joins a surge of comedy performances recently included on the platform.

March 10, 2017 – Burning Sands

Burning Sands follows a favored pledge who is torn between honoring a code of silence during a fraternity’s Hell Week or standing up against the intensifying violence of underground hazing.

The 1h 36min film stars Trevor Jackson (Criminal Minds), Steve Harris (Minority Report) and Tosin Cole (Star Wars: The  Force Awakens), and is currently competing at the Sundance Festival’s US Dramatic Competition.

March 17, 2017 – Deidra & Laney Rob a Train

Deidra & Laney Rob a Train follows the life of whip-smart high school senior Deidra and her younger sister Laney who hatch a devious plan to start robbing trains to help their struggling family.

The 1h 40min comedy/drama stars Ashleigh Murray (Riverdale) and Rachel Crow (Rio 2) and is Directed by Sydney Freeland (Drunktown’s Finest, Her Story). 

March 17, 2017 – Marvel’s Iron Fist

The first season of Marvel’s Iron Fist is finally heading to Netflix for its March 17 release. The series takes place fifteen years after the plane crash in which Danny Rand was presumed dead. When Rand returns to New York he is forced to choose between his family legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist.

Marvel’s Iron Fist is created by Scott Buck (Dexter, Six Feet Under) and stars Finn Jones (Game of Thrones), Jessica Henwick (Game of Thrones), and Jessica Stroup (90210).

March 17, 2017 – Samurai Gourmet

Samurai Gourmet is a live action series based on Masayuki Kusumi‘s essay and manga by the same title.

The series follows Takeshi Kasumi a retired man who has spent his entire life devoted to his job, but now has plenty of time on his hands. While on an afternoon walk, Kasumi discovers the joys of daytime drinking and realizes that he is now free to eat whatever he pleases. This awakens his inner person – a wandering samurai living life freely in Japan’s age of civil war. The twelve episode adventure follows the retired man’s blissful search to satisfy his stomach as well as his samurai soul.

March 24, 2017 – Ingobernable

Ingobernable is a Spanish-language political drama set in Mexico. The twenty-episode series stars actress Kate del Castillo (La mentira) as Irene Urzua, the wife of Mexico’s president who is capable of ‘creating a president, leaving a president and killing a president’.

March 31, 2017 – 13 Reasons Why

13 Reasons Why is a Netflix original series based on the best-selling book of the same name by Jay Asher. The series follows teenager Clay Jensen as he returns home from school to find a mysterious box on the porch addressed to him. Inside he discovers cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker his classmate and crush who committed suicide only two weeks earlier. On the tapes, Hannah explains the thirteen reasons why she ended her life, and he might be one of them.

The series stars Dylan Minnette (Don’t Breathe, Prisoners), Katherine Langford, Kate Walsh (Private Practice), Brian D’Arcy James (Smash) and Derek Luke (Empire), and is created by Brian Yorkey.

March 31, 2017 – The Discovery

The Discovery is a love story set one year after the existence of the afterlife is scientifically verified.  Directed by Charlie McDowell (The One I Love, Silicon Valley) the film sees millions of people around the world ending their lives in order to “get there”.

The Discovery stars Jason Segel (How I Met Your Mother), Rooney Mara (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Riley Keough (Mad Max: Fury Road)
