From Norman Bates, to terrifying nuns, and creepy adult orphans, Vera Farmiga has battled with her fair share of monsters. Now, Farmiga is going to come face to face with the King of Monsters, Godzilla.
Vera Farmiga, who is well known for her work in horror, has been cast as the mother of Stranger Things‘ Millie Bobby Brown in the sequel to the 2014 film Godzilla. The Oscar award nominated actress can be seen in a leading role in 2009’s Orphan, The Conjuring 1 & 2, as well as the three Primetime Emmy nominated television show Bates Motel, and will soon be seen opposite Liam Neeson and Patrick Wilson in this year’s action thriller The Commuter.
The news comes not long after it was announced that Kyle Chandler (Manchester by the Sea, The Wolf of Wall Street) would be joining the Godzilla: King of Monsters cast as Millie Bobby Brown‘s father.
While little information has been divulged beyond this, Godzilla: King of Monsters’ impressive cast certainly has us excited for more news to come.
The sequel is being directed by Michael Dougherty who is known for his work on Krampus, and Trick ‘r Treat.
The film is expected to arrive 22 March 2019.
