Oscar-nominated Director Ava Duvernay has confirmed that principal photography for the Disney film A Wrinkle in Time has wrapped. The news broke via Twitter today when Director Ava Duvernay (Selma) shared a slew of images from the set.
A Wrinkle in Time is a $100 million dollar Walt Disney adventure based on the 1973 Newbery Medal-winning novel of the same name, by Author Madeleine L’Engle. The A-lister film stars Oscar award winning Actress Reese Witherspoon (Big Little Lies), two-time Oscar award winning Actress and talk show host Oprah Winfrey (The Color Purple), alongside, Storm Reid (12 Years a Slave, Sleight), Levi Zane Miller (Pan, Jasper Jones), Mindy Kaling (The Office, Inside Out), Deric McCabe (Hold On), André Holland (Moonlight), and Rowan Blanchard (Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D).
The fantasy adventure film follows a young girl named Meg. After the disappearance of her scientist father, three peculiar beings send Meg, her brother, and her friend to space in order to find him.
A Wrinkle in Time is set to hit theatres April 6, 2018.
