Just over a week out from the release of the Twin Peaks revival, fans of the groundbreaking television series have finally been blessed with some all-new footage, courtesy of Showtime.
While we have been showered with short trailers, most of which reminding us of the goings on in season one and two of the 90s show, we have now been blessed with something a little more substantial. The dark 1:20 clip opens with a blurry shot of an ominous staircase and, with the sound of a striking match, switches between scenes. We see the return of lovable Andy, as well as Dale Cooper, Shelly Johnson, Gordon Cole and a bitter-sweet acknowledgement to Albert, played by the late Miguel Ferrer.
In addition to the return of some of Twin Peaks‘ lead characters, the short teaser treats us to a glimpse of some new faces. The Nanny‘s Madeline Zima makes an appearance, as does a glaring Ben Rosenfield (6 Years).
Showtime has been keeping the specifics of Twin Peaks’ revival pretty hush-hush. But, it won’t be long until long-time fans are reintroduced to the quaint northwestern town.
Twin Peaks season three debuts on Showtime on May 21 and Stan May 22.
