Edgar Wright’s hyped film Baby Driver just dropped a striking new motion poster.
This loud, colourful and oh-so Edgar Wright poster came courtesy of Baby Driver’s official twitter page and features the film’s main ensemble. Up top we’ve got our tinnitus-suffering, getaway driver and protagonist Baby (Ansel Elgort) posted as the central figure sporting his signature earphones and a cool stare, his mysterious boss Doc (Kevin Spacey) looms threateningly to his left, and his love interest Deborah (Lily James) shoots a gaze out across an eventful stretch of Atlanta highway. Underneath there’s Bats (Jamie Foxx), a fellow member of Doc’s ragtag bank robbing crew, holding up some mighty fine finger guns. Last, but certainly not least, we have our gun-slinging villains Buddy and Darling (Jon Hamm and Eliza González) looking menacingly down the barrel.

In this latest poster for Wright’s action-comedy, musical mashup, we’re getting a modern homage to ‘painted poster’ style that was extremely popular in the 50s and 60s. The short clip pairs the striking visuals of the poster with the killer soundtrack song ‘Nowhere To Run’ by Boga and shows audiences ‘all you need is one killer track’. This isn’t the first time Wright, who is responsible for cult classics such as Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead, has characterised a film via its soundtrack- see Scott Pilgrim Vs the World.
Baby Driver revs into theatres July 13. Check out the trailer below:
