Scruffy looking Robert Pattinson couldn’t be further from Twilight as he runs from New York City police in an all new trailer for A24‘s Good Time.
After a Botched bank robbery lands his younger brother in prison, Constantine Nikas (Robert Pattinson) embarks on a twisted, neon filled crusade through the city’s underworld in a desperate and dangerous attempt to free his brother from jail. Taking place over the course of one night, Constantine finds himself on a mad descent into violence and mayhem as he races to save both his brother and himself.
Good Time joins the list of films that have distanced the Twilight actor from the supernatural romance genre. With David Michôd‘s The Rover and David Cronenberg‘s Cosmopolis under his belt, Pattinson is becoming known for his versatile performances in gritty films.
Developed by Daddy Longlegs and Heaven Knows What filmmakers Josh and Benny Safdie, from a screenplay by Ronald Bronstein in association with Josh Safdie, the hypnotic crime thriller Good Time is making its premiere this month at the Cannes Film Festival. In addition to Pattinson, the film stars Ben Safdie, Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight), and Oscar-Award nominated actor Barkhad Abdi (Captain Phillips).
Good Time will hit theatres August 11. Check out the trailer and poster below:
