The first trailer for Seven Sisters has landed online. Starring Noomi Rapace (Prometheus), the dystopian film follows seven identical twins who are forced to keep their identities a secret.
Taking place in the year 2073, Seven Sisters follows seven identical twins (Noomi Rapace) named after the days of the week. As a result of overpopulation and the government’s one-child policy, the girls and their grandfather (Willem Dafoe) go to extreme lengths to keep their identities a secret. The girls are restricted to their apartment, each taking turns to leave the house on the day of the week for which they have been named. While the seven sisters have kept their identities a secret for years, the disappearance of their sister Monday puts their alias, Karen Settman, and their lives at risk.
Directed by Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters), and written by Kerry Williamson and Max Botkin, the sci-fi thriller has been snatched up by streaming giant, Netflix. In addition to Rapace and Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man, upcoming: Murder on the Orient Express), the film stars Robert Wagner (Austin Powers Franchise), Marwan Kenzari (The Mummy), Jeppe Beck Laursen (Dead Snow), and Tomiwa Edun (Bates Motel).
Seven Sisters will be released by Netflix later this year:
