Justice League unveiled a brand new trailer at San Diego Comic Con that suggests Superman will return.
“You said you’d come,” says Jeremy Irons‘ Alfred to someone just out of shot “Let’s hope it’s not too late.”
In addition to teasing the return of Superman, who met his untimely fate at the end of Batman v Superman, the Justice League trailer also showed off the film’s big bad, Steppenwolf, who appears on Paradise Island thrusting the superheroes into action.
At the panel, cast showed their excitement for the film with Jason Momoa (Aquaman) throwing and breaking his chair, and Ben Affleck (Batman) declaring “I am the luckiest guy in the world”.
The panel also took questions from fans. One young member of the audience asked the cast “Where will Superman be in this movie?” to which Momoa responded, “Son, I am not sure if your parents showed you the last movie, but Superman is dead.”
