Emmys 2017 Nicole Kidman

At the 69th Annual Emmy Awards, Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale took home the top spot winning the Emmy award for Best Drama Series. Veep also won big, taking home the prize for best comedy series and Best Actress in a Comedy Series. Veep actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus made Emmy history nabbing the record for the most Emmy awards won by a single performer for one role.

The HBO miniseries Big Little Lies and SNL also dominated at the award show. However, In a surprising loss for Netflix and HBO, both Stranger Things and Westworld left empty-handed, despite early predictions in their favor.
