We have finally been graced with the first image of Tom Holland (Spider-Man) and Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) as bad-ass Viola Eade and Todd Hewitt in the film Chaos Walking!
The adaptation of Patrick Ness’ young-adult novel The Knife of Never Letting Go is set in a dystopian world where there are ‘no’ women and all living creatures can hear each other’s thoughts in a stream of images, words, and sounds called Noise. Todd has been brought up to believe that ‘the Spackle’ released a germ that killed all the women and unleashed Noise on the remaining men. However, when he discovers a patch of silence out in the swamp he soon discovers Viola.
Chaos Walking is directed by Doug Liman the filmmaker at the helm of Edge of Tomorrow and The Bourne Identity, from a script by Gary Spinelli (American Made).
In addition to Holland and Ridley, the film stars Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale, Doctor Strange), Nick Jonas, David Oyelowo (Selma), Demián Bichir (The Hateful Eight) and Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy).
Chaos Walking is expected to be released in March 2019.
Ridley shared the first on-set image, standing beside co-star Holland, on Facebook. Check the image out below:
