Get ready to travel back to the 90s with the return of Hey Arnold!.
Nickelodeon has released the first trailer for the highly anticipated film Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie, which follows Arnold, Gerald, Helga and the rest of the gang as they embark on a field trip of a lifetime. Picking up where the TV series ended in 2004, the film follows Arnold on his quest to find his missing parents in San Lorenzo.
Fans desperate to see more of Helga and Arnold’s love/hate relationship won’t be disappointed. In the trailer, it seems Helga is getting closer than ever to Arnold as she helps him on his quest, and considers professing her feelings for him.
The movie is co-written and executive produced by the TV series’ original creator Craig Bartlett, and features original voice cast members Francesca Marie Smith as Helga and Anndi McAfee as Phoebe. In addition to the returning cast, Mason Vale Cotton (Mad Men) will aboard the film to voice Arnold and Benjamin “Lil’ P-Nut” Flores, Jr. (Game Shakers) will take on the role of his best friend Gerald.
Lane Toran, who acted as the original voice of Arnold, and Jamil Walker Smith, the original voice of Gerald, will lend their voices as Che and Paulo, two members of the boat crew in San Lorenzo. Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2) stars as resident villain, Lasombra.
Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie will premiere Thanksgiving weekend on Nickelodeon!
