Warner Bros. Pictures has just released an epic and emotional new trailer for Justice League, which paints a bleak picture of the world post-Superman.
Set to the Gang of Youth’s rendition of David Bowie’s classic, Heroes, the trailer gives fans something they have been waiting for – a glimpse of Superman…well, sort of. In the dramatic opening scene, Lois Lane (Amy Adams) dreams of her departed partner Clark Kent but wakes up alone.
“The world remains in mourning after the death of Superman. Violence, acts of war, and terrorism are all on the rise.
In the trailer, Batman and Wonder Woman recruit a team of metahumans to fight against the sinister force that is about to invade. The unprecedented league of heroes put up an explosive fight against the Parademon invasion as they attempt to bring hope back to the broken post-Superman world. “Divided we are not enough. The world needs Superman, and I made him a promise, which is why I’ve brought you together.”
Justice League stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ben Affleck as Batman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.
The DC film will hit theaters November 2017. Check out the Justice League trailer below:
