Mr. S has challenged Thor to a battle of the Jams, as the pair exchange videos in a hilarious insta-beef.
School of Rock‘s Jack Black shared a video on Instagram over the weekend calling out the Box Office topping film Thor: Ragnarok for stealing the ‘super bitchin” Led Zeppelin Immigrant song scene. You know the one.
Here’s what Black had to say:
“Hey what’s up it’s me, Jack Black. You know in School of Rock when I sing a part of that monstrous Led Zeppelin jam, Immigrant Song, and it’s super bitchin’ and like the raddest part of the movie? Well, it has come to my attention that someone kind of stole that chunk of the movie and put it in their movie. That’s right, I’m talking about Thor: Ragnarok. Totally bit our style, totally poached our jam, and now they are parading around town like they thought of it,” said the comedian.
The track acts as the score for the Thor: Ragnarok finale battle sequence but was originally used back in 2003 in School of Rock.
Black continued, saying: “Well, you don’t get to do that and get away with it bro. I’m calling you out THOR. This is a challenge. I challenge you to a battle. A battle of the Jams.“
Chris Hemsworth responded to the video excepting Black’s challenge.
“JAACCK! Jack Black! Hey, Chris Hemsworth here. Um, you’re right you got me, guilty as charged, we stole Immigrant Song from you. But guess what? You stole it too and as Oscar Wilde once said, ‘Talent borrows. Genius steals!’ So we are both guilty of the same crime,” said the Thor Actor.
“We would have used your song but as you said in your song, ‘it is not the greatest song in the world’, so we moved on. You challenged me to a battle of the jams, I don’t know what that means. I don’t know what a battle of the jams is – I know what jam is, jam on toast I love a bit of that, I know Pearl Jam – awesome, and just general Jamin’. So yeah, let’s do it, whatever. My place or your’s, baby?”
Let’s hope Mr. S and Thor bring their epic jam battle to Instagram soon.
