With less than a month until Fargo returns to the small screen, FX has finally treated fans with an official trailer.
In what appears to be a homage to The Godfather, the new trailer depicts brothers Emmit and Ray sitting face-to-face, divided by a grand marble-topped table.
“You still owe me for what happened when we were kids,” say’s pot-bellied, down on his luck, Ray, to which Emmit replies, “Happy to help, but really, where does it end?”
In the third instalment of Fargo, Ewan McGregor (Trainspotting, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) plays brothers Ray and Emmit. Emmit is described as a self-made real estate mogul, with a family and good looks, however, his younger brother Ray didn’t quite hit the jackpot in life. Ray is the kind of guy who peaked in high school. The parole officer has a chip on his shoulder about the hand he has been dealt and blames his brother Emmit for his misfortunes.
Ray and Emmit Stussy’s brotherly tiff will bring a new meaning to sibling rivalry, as season three sees the tension between the brothers follow a twisted path that begins with petty theft and ends in murder.
The trailer also features clips of recent parolee Nikki Swango (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), and Police Chief Gloria Burgle (Carrie Coon).
“You are twice the man your brother is,” says Swango in an embrace with Ray.
The third season of Fargo premieres April 19th on FX.
